Heat (2 Viewers)

Not so.

Farmers across the land are rejoicing at the ability to make hay..after the disaster of having to import fodder from France last winter.

Many are trying to grow grass for silage. No rain, poor grass growth.

The farmers are thrilled with this weather, they said so on CountryWide this morning.

theres another week of it (at least) to come
One farmer said that they can go off to the beach for a swim whenever they like because the long term forecast is good and they don't have to be bothered trying to make sure they get everything done in the five minutes of sunshine they might usually get.

Hay is actually a very poor quality fodder compared to silage. Farmers growing grain crops must be delighted though.

Loving the sunshine, just wish we had airconditioning. Struggling to get the temperature in our room at night below 26 and squiggleybaby is getting heat rash even sleeping in just his nappy.

Also, sunshine in Ireland brings out the worst in a lot of people - or maybe it just brings out the worst people... not sure which.

How old is he now Pete? Oh, the temperature climbs really quickly up to about 29 - which it was most of last night. Hopefully it will be cooler tonight, feels like it should be. SB sleeps great, just has a rash on his shoulders which doesn't seem to be bothering him much, but looks nasty.
