the RTE thread (3 Viewers)

I almost never voluntarily listen to radio but am forced to hear some bits of it most days as background noise.
Fuck Tipp FM.
Irish radio has usually been poor for music over the years - a few programmes aside plus some digital radio.
It is amazing how little 2FM has changed over the years. The format of day time radio is mostly the same as 35 years ago.

I think people who listen to 6 music, lyric, RnaG and the niche shows on Main do.
Otherwise it's about humans and personalities and eaves dropping

Yeah, I suppose I’m thinking of 2FM’s listenership rather than the specialist stations. It always seems to be some yammering idiot when I’m subjected to it.

the radio in the car defaults to spirit FM when I switch it on. which is a bit of a minor complaint really

Mainly listen to RTE for the news and a bit of creedon. have the radio on less since kid. During the start of the ukraine war he asked for it to be turned off, and we just fell out of the habbit

Livedrive on Dublin City FM changed their presenters a year or two ago and I haven't listened to the radio since.

If i'm working I do the saturday/sunday sport thing. I'm a bit like I am around the tv, i prefer things that are actually happening as opposed to focus group driven shite.
