A large number of the 100+ independents are FF/Former FF. So there's likely going to be an increase in the number of FF councillors in a few weeks.

TV3 just gave "unofficial" results of first count for Dublin MEP elections. None of the candidates reached the quote on the first count, DeRossa and Mitchell are both on approximately 95,000 after the first count.

No official results 'tli 9pm when polls close elsewhere around Europe.

Eoin Ryan is on 55,000
Higgins is 0n 50,000
Mary Lou is on 48,000

My money would be on Higgins but it's going to be really tight.

In an interesting development, the European count for Dublin is proceeding but is not being offically announced meaning candidates cannot challenge results. This may turn out to be a big issue if Higgins wins by a narrow margin.

Nothing. They have already joined against Crowleys wishes. Crowley wants to get a presidential nomination from FF so he won't make any waves. Most of his objections also stemmed from the fact that he had a cushy position with the previous grouping.

Saying what? The whole point of Bertie's shafting was she was invited on to the ticket on the premise of having a fair crack at a seat. Ahern just used her to gain some votes from her end of the constituency and annoited Cyprian Brady for the second FF seat when it was too late for her to react.

i thought it was on the area given to her, cyprian brady's group distributed a letter supposedly from bertie ahern on the tuesday or the wednesday telling poeople in thoise areas given to mary fitzpatrick to give their no. 2's to brady
