This week I’m all about the pandas… Here, have a page full of their squidgy bellies.

Ah... If only all family reunions were this sweet. Sixteen giant panda cubs, all born in 2005 in the China Wolong Giant Panda Research Center, have a happy year-end reunion at the center in Sichuan Province in southwest China.

Twin Giant panda cubs play at China Giant Panda Protection and Research Centre in Wolong National Natural Reserve, southwest China's Sichuan province. The cubs are about three month old.

Look he’s smiling … or yawning… or both. Who knows!

And on a more serious note - don't let's forget the super-endangered red panda...

One of these guys just snuffled across my garden.

My cat is also lurking about the place.

Should I be concerned?

I have some backgarden hedgehog photo's to post as well. They're not as good as yours though.

Cat's don't go near hedgehogs. They have prickly bits.

Alrighty, here's a cupla pics from the last time I was home. First up is this hedgehog I met:

itll always be one of my fave videos for all the reasons listed above. any video that features two lion cubs eating sticks and wrestling with picnic mats is a HANDS DOWN WINNER.
i forgot that youtube gives us access to things we havent seen in like 5 years.

Dude, you're misrepresenting. They are cute!

Plus they have a cool simbiotic relationship with a bird called the honey guide who as the name suggests, leads them to honey. Then the honey badger (or ratel) uses its big claws to break open the hive which the bird couldn't have done on its own, and they share the honey.
