No. You're wrong. It's evil. I hate it. I can't stand within 10 feet of a starbucks, and I have to hold my breath when I walk past it. Coffee, uuuurrrrgggg, honest to god, It's like kryptonite on me. One whiff and I'm completley incapacitated. pure muck. Satan's diarrhea.

Coffee can fuck itself in the ass.

I like Starbucks. Actually I LURRRRRVE Starbucks. It was one of the things I was really homesick for when I moved to Ireland from Canadialand.

And now there is one moving RIGHT NEXT DOOR to where I work. In FIVE DAYS .|..|

For those naysayers out there (PURRRICKS), I suggest trying a caramel macchiato.

What bugs me about starbucks is that their coffees are expensive and pretty much always in need of an extra shot, which makes them even more expensive.

Also, while the range of options is impressive that just adds to the delays and I'd prefer no choice and decent, strong coffee at a reasonable price.

i dont like being in coffee queues behind students because theyre always ordering hot chocolates and cappachinos and other silly drinks that take ages to prepare. soon they wont have the time to be waiting around like that and they'll just want a quick cup poured out of the pot.

what do you think of turkish coffee? Ive had only the one and didnt really know what i was getting into when i asked for it. The taste was delicious but i was disconcerted by the powderiness of it. two friends were also drinking it and we kinda thought there was something wrong with it but found out later there wasnt (it was like drinking coffee flavoured chalk dust). Im curious to try it again now although i havent noticed it on offer around dublin.

Turkish coffee can be very nice. I think the trick is to let it settle a bit and then only drink the top half - hence avoiding the powdery bits. Greek coffee is similar. I horrified friends of mine (and shocked the waiter) in a Greek restaurant in London by ordering my coffee unsweetened.

In my opinion that principle holds through not just for coffee but restaurants in general. I don't see why people feel they need so many options.

the only thing that irritates me about starbucks is the bullshit about sizes, (and also my previous well documented rage at the baffling array of stupid coffee types ordering bollix), like you can't ask for a medium - it has to be a venti or a grande or whatever. ah would you ever fuck off, you're fucked in the head starbucks.

Next time, ask for a "short cappucino" (or latte) or a double short if you want the extra shot. Short isn't on the menu, but it's available. It's not advertised because Starbucks don't make much money on it because of the size (about medium-sized)
