The kids school report came today.
It's better than anything I got at her age but a big step down from her usual results.
Now I was to tell her to get her shit together in a positive and encouraging way, while feeling like a prick and a hypocrite.

I felt great after it. Everyone else was standing about like i'd punched a kitten or something.

I have seen someone collapse - not so much pass out as lose the ability to be vertical - and while on their floorward trajectory mustering some part of brain activity so as to be able to place their pint glass on the table before the crash.

It was impressive, I have to admit.
