Yeah. What she said.

And mr s.k., can you not tell the other bloke to get lost?

no?

Rave, disco, DJ-night - nice ideas, but they're all so... post-De Valera.

Here's a winner: how about a DANCE at the IERNE Ballroom on Parnell Square? It's been staring us in the face since we were 8, for God's sake. First we could meet at The Big Tree on Dorset Street for a few pots of Bass. Then we could pop into the Sinn Fein office on Parnell Sq., flick through some of their literature and when we're nice and riled up with irate Republican sentiment, head down to the IERNE and start dropping hands left, right and centre. Who knows, we might even get some AGRO going.

I also like the Dublin Brewing Company idea, but I think Pete should only allow in people who are prepared to wear Thumped name-tags. We don't want people congregating in their usual cabals, glancing over at each other nervously throughout the evening and then heading home sloshed at 1am none the wiser.

This is a central issue, I think: name-tags.

this is getting a bit outta hand, that's the same music they played in the george, last time me and my big teddy bear mero went...

how many people are gonna go just because it's a "thumped thing"?

Yes indeed.

For that is sort of the *point* of the whole bastarding eight page thread, like.

Bowes as I'm not willing to pay £15 to go to the brewing Co. to see you sorry lot...

...unless it's 100% certain of free booze all night.

Do they make Maeves, if they do we're fucked for starters. Yay!

In reply to something Dud wrote some pages ago, the schtick with the Dublin Brewing Company is 30-60 people pay £15 each. Then they drink all they can for 4/5 hours. I was thinking of organising some sort of gig thing. They seemed up for that.
Like a Pop and Beer Convention with more beer.
Those things were class.

Why don't you all just go to SchoolDisco.crap if you want to listen to a load of shite.

At least if nobody turns up to frazers then one sod isn't left with the booking fee.

I was at a birthday party in that place on Fleet Street and a gettoblaster is all you need but when the downstairs bar got full they let people upstairs to the "private" function. Oh, and they stopped serving at a stupid hour.

And another thing... they were pricks.

There's a simillar place on Baggot Street, can't remember the name. There's a cool room upstairs. oh, and it's southside so too. pricks.

Pete

what would *you* like to do?
