I used to love Hallowe'en. Then I hated it when Finglas got really bad.

Now I'm unsure of it.

I do like the fireworks though.

So long as they're not aimed at people or dogs. The scummers used to throw them at each other.

more like... smokey, cool crisp air, dead leaves, the smell of rain that has fallen not too long ago...
i dunno. i just put my head out the window and i liked the familiarity.

yeah, it smelled like leaf mould and smoke on my way to school one day last week, lovely stuff.

i remember years ago seeing a couple of fridges on a bonfire near my parents' house. mm, that first smell of lung-bleedy death.

MOST of finglas is alright.

But that kip was really really bad.

I know exactly what you mean except I think of it more as the smell of winter. Mmmmm, long dark nights all cosy in the house, woot!

country halloweens, children standing round a bonfire dressed in plastic binbags and holding jack o' lanterns made out of turnips, while someones older brother throws a tractor tire into it.
