We've needed an aggressive midfielder since Masch left. We need a left back pretty urgently too. Word is we'r looking at a winger though. Because up top is the real problem.

They were saying on some podcast I was listening to yesterday evening that they're looking at making Moses permanent after missing out on signing Salah, he hasn't really impressed many people has he?

He's a weird one, and he's not had that much time on the pitch so it's hard to judge. The games he's played in he's looked a bit hit and miss, but he was a class act at Wigan and there are still flashes. Who knows. It is a bit odd though, to be worrying about the attack at this stage, when we can score 4 as easily as 1, but lose matches because we can't defend the ball.

They're looking at a Ukrainian dude who I'm not going to attempt to spell. Not the other fella, a new fella. Great and all, but we're pretty light at full back.

Suso is doing okay in Spain too, where's he gonna fit in? Sterling is a strong bugger for such a little lad.

suso, or assaidi, or borini, or luis alberto. not to mention aspas. don't mention him.

sterling is class, i half expected him not to progress after last season but he is getting better and better and might even score a goal soon

can't help but automatically generalise the ability of any ukranian forward with that of Voronin. dear jesus. to be fair, that was one of many of rafa's shite recruitments when times were tough

watched that ukraine england WC qualifier game im sure but have no recollection of this guy. or the game pretty much. anyone anything encouraging to say about him? knew nothing of coutinho either and that turned out alright

Voronin could have been okay. Rafa had a real knack for destroying players he didn't rate. DOn't know how he did but, but whatever happened, they broke something in Voronin. By the time he left, his confidence was crushed.

Yeah, but he started okay, got an injury, and then that was that. I dunno, obviously he wasn't great, and he had to put up with Torres on form....why are we even debating this? He was class in Football Manager 2005. YOu could get him for free at the end of the first season and he banged them in. Sometimes I forget which player I'm talking about, the real or the imagined. Having said that, I never would have signed him if i'd know he had porno hair.

You guys should sign Simon Vukcevic, he came in on a free transfer and did a great job for Dundela in Football Manager 2005, helping them win the Champions League (as they beat Liverpool 1-0 in the final thanks to a moment of madness where Reina rushed out to the half-way line only to be beaten to the ball)

Art imitating life, was it? Reina was at Villareal in 05. You're full of lies, Corm.

Yeah. Bit of perspective. Drawing 2-2 at home to Villa > 0-0 at home to WHU
Yeah, especially we haven't got that squad, that cash, that cunt in charge and aren't "realistically" trying to sex up the premier league trophy. Thing about the Villa game was that's it's obvious where it went wrong (squad depth played it's part, and there'd be no "Gerrard is Pirlo" talk if we could get a player the quality of Matic in. (or even had the Squad depth to get rid of a player the quality of Matic in the first place)).

I like to think Brendan learns from these things.
