The Spanish have a style of play that counters the way the Russians play. It was a carbon copy of the first game. Russia need a high tempo game. Spain slowed the game down and got plenty of players behind the ball when they lost it so they couldn't manage to blitz the Spanish defence like they had with the Dutch.

watch the post-match analysis, about 1:30 in. Not as dramatic as it was when i first noticed it. All the Apres Match yokes are there too. Some of them have been very hit and miss.
