Well it is the tabloid football press, I mean, they probably don't speak for everyone? You'd certainly hope Arragones isn't thinking along those lines. Then again, like Souness, you'd have to fancy the Italians to advance as tactically they seem far more shrewd and adaptable, where as the Spanish try to play their own passing game constantly regardless of the opposition. Sweden made them look ordinary for the for about 75-80 minutes, but ultimately weren't enough even to stop the front pair.

I'd like to see Spain grasp their own destiny rather than bottle it at the big boys table again.

Great half, Russia are opening upSweden when they go forward so easily, Sweden look slow and bereft of creativity and ideas...Russia played a great 1st 30 mins...then Sweden finally got back in near the end.
Russia in the 2nd half have the possibility to rip them to shreads on the counter attack but they also look a bit naive at the back, look's like it's going to be a great 2nd half.

I hope not.
Bar Turkey I think all the teams are fairly evenly matched. The Germans, Spanish, Dutch & Italians are soft-centred but the likes of Croatia, Portugal and Russia have no discernable strikers. It's cute.
