Didn’t Ray Burke do that once? Promised to prettify the area and stuck loads of flowers and trees in until the election and then, bam, they’re taken away as soon as power Is granted be the electorate.

Y’see, what would happen in that case, is the local garden centres would be asked if the council could have a borrow of the flowers for the duration. Then they can take them back when it’s over. And it probably doesn’t cost the council a penny.

They’ll be looked after, don’t worry.
