all this fundraising..... (1 Viewer)

I know for a fact that GOAL's creaking at the seams with all the Tsunami money they're getting. The place is fucked because O'Shea is strangling it. A friend of mine who works there said that the Sudan thing was bad enough, but the Tsunami response has really made things difficult.

Sure the whole reason the government reneged on the 0.7% by 2007 is because if we reached that, we wouldn't be able to spend the €1bn.

The money should be moved to help in the war in Congo and on malaria and AIDS drugs.

Medecins Sans Frontieres has offered to return donations back after receiving more than triple the amount for which it asked.

MSF have only a limited number of doctors and nurses that can help. No point in them having shedloads of money if they can't actually spend it. As the money was given specifically for the Tsunami I assume it is against charity rules that they spend it elsewhere.
