In a wave of despair I grossly miscalculated. I have about 30 years left.

I don't see myself being one of those robust, dentures and cruise trips advertising, healthy old people.

I should use this decade I mistakenly deducted to get out of this rut.

You don't, and this'll lead to you giving up on your hopes and dreams.

Basically, it's what Jesus would have wanted.

Write a bucket list eg
1) eat noodless in vietnam
2) Visit the gobi and manchurian desert's
3) become a pirate
4) photograph baby wild boars
5) jump 20 buses in a volkswagen beatle
etc.

What's it like giving the walking tours?

I dunno, first time I ever did one, and it wasn't part of any official thing, it was just a one-off someone I know asked me to do.
It was grand, just talked a load of shit and that. It can be hard to remember all the things you want to mention I guess.

So after my earlier posts about lack of job opportunities and promotional structure, I have two interviews lined up. One for a four year contract but similar work to what I'm doing, one for a one year contract but a step up the ladder into lecturing.

As hokey (and unlikely) as it sounds, I'm a fan of positive thought. If you want something, go for it. Failing that, visualise it and maybe that visual will actually come into view down the line. Opportunities come to those who keep their head up looking forward instead of down in the muck. I kind of hate myself for even typing that but I do find it to be true. I blame my walk in Spain.
