Ha. I was working opposite that until recently. We figured that it would act as a canary-in-a-coal-mine for the recession. Its survival thus far is remarkable.

ohhh, its hard not to dislike that guy. When someone told me he inherited a load of gaffs off his folks and is a shit landlord it got even harder. Although to be fair I have no idea whether or not thats actually true.

Never been in those - were they nice? Any other places round there you'd reccomend?

They were great, mad cheap and friendly staff.
Those were the main two I hit up so I'll be forced to try new places soon.
Charming Noodles is nice, I wrote a bit about it in the Food forum''s restauraunt recommendation thread.
I was in there on Sunday.
I went to Manna once, across the road from there.
The food took so long I just paid for my drink and left after an hour when I saw the chef go out for a fag.
Never had to do that before, but I was starving and that's taking the piss!

Was it the one on the corner? I think it's called Hao Wang Jiao. I really liked the food i've gotten from there. Everytime was excellent. Sad to see it gone!
