Chubby and the Gang. I have really tried with their two LPs but nope. They are a real Emperor’s-no-clothes operation. All hype/style/“attitude” but no actual songs.

I actually think that whole family tree is pretty weak musically and very overrated.

I actually think that whole family tree is pretty weak musically and very overrated.

First time hearing of them.. checked them out there . Bit played out . Don't like yer mans voice its too oi . Didnt find them particularly catchy either

I like em and a bunch of other bands from that "family", I prefer The Chisel though.

I like the first chubby lp,the second is very meh!.

A lot of the bands in the family tree sound way too similar for the most part to me.

Chisel do very little for me. But they seem one of the more popular.

I really like the band Boss from that family tree though

The Chisel sound alright..be great live I'd say but I wouldnt listen to them at home

Something I've been thinking about. How many times have you finally listened to a band/album only to have it be EXACTLY what you were expecting.

eg I finally listened to All Things Must Pass recently. It was exactly what I was expecting. Also, Animal Collective.

Is it just very good marketing??


On the other hand I recently played the new album by The Viagra Boys, was not expecting that.
