Crouch should pipe down about moving and settle for a squad role. He's useful in that regard. If he leaves, he'll be going somewhere he'll have zero chance of winning anything.

Huntelaar is scoring for fun again this season. Hope someone takes a punt on him this summer so we can judge him in the big time.

Apparently Real told Ajax last summer when they got Schneider that they wouldn't attempt to unsettle Huntelaar this season but come the next close season they were coming for him. Lots of good players moving about this summer; him, Deigo, maybe Van Der Vaart, Villa, Luis Fabiano, Milito.

You forgot Ronaldinho!!!!!!!

But seriously, yeah there's some decent lads around who need to graduate to the big boys this summer to test their mettle.

I just don't think it will happen especially with dumb and dumber in charge. That's why he's trying to keep Crouch sweet, so he'll sign a new contract. We'll see the wings strengthened maybe but that's it.
dunno, them two tools broke our transfer record twice.. 18 for masch 20 for torres. you buy big, you get quality. most of the juan veron.

Ryan Babel

On July 10, 2007, it was reported that Liverpool F.C. had made a £13.5 million offer to the Amsterdam club.[8] On July 12, it was reported that Liverpool and Ajax agreed a fee in the region of £11.5 million, and later Liverpool confirmed that Babel would sign a five year contract on 13 July.[9] He was unveiled on July 13 with Yossi Benayoun. Babel was handed the number 19 shirt. He made his debut on July 17 against Werder Bremen in a friendly. He was due to play in the first round of the Barclays Asia Trophy 2007 but for a delay in the granting of international clearance. This was sorted out in time for the final against Portsmouth.[10]
He made his Premiership debut in the 2007–08 Premiership curtain raiser against Aston Villa away after coming on off the bench. A week later and he made his Anfield debut, coming off the bench against Chelsea. Babel plays in the right or left midfielder position. On September 1, Babel scored his first goal for Liverpool against Derby County. Babel scored his first brace for Liverpool in the Champions League on November 6, 2007 against Beşiktaş J.K. after coming on as a substitute. He nearly got a third, to complete a hat-trick, off a header from a Harry Kewell cross but was denied by the crossbar. Liverpool and Celtic legend Kenny Dalglish has said that Babel has the ability to terrorise defenders in the Premier League with his pace and trickery with the ball. [11] Babel scored the fourth and last goal in Liverpool's vital UEFA Champions League 2007-08 group stage campaign match against Olympique de Marseille, which they needed to win. Since then Ryan Babel has scored 4 more goals for the 1st team bringing his tally up to eight goals in 20 appearances, including a solo effort against Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League Quarter finals. However he did DIVE to get the pen. Dirty Scousers

joke hole in the yaps today:
"We got beaten by a side we should have overcome. Then you've got the Liverpool game the following season where we were let down by a dubious goal."

how on fucking earth are they still going on about that dubious goal. if it isn't given, cech walks and there's a peno. chelsea were lucky that goal was given, kept them in it. maybe if their fans weren't posting death threats to referees, they might get the odd decision. poor cunts.

So how much was last nights game worth to the club? I hear just getting to the final is worth 10 million smackers.

2005 was worth 31 million - So, significantly more than that i'd imagine. Current CL winnings under Benitez before 07/08 stands at seventy mil. Sevilla made double losing in the last sixteen than what they got for winnning the UEFA. Fuck's sake like!

Porno has apparently been running down Liverpool City as well as the accents of his team mates in Ukrainian publications. Silly Billy.

So long porno!
You clod.

In fairness that really shows up the accusations against Wengers "whingeing" as reactionist nonsense. Of course the man feels aggrieved a couple of days after a game his team probably shouldn't have lost.

Chavski are arch-whiners.

Hey Trev, do you remember when i told you Voronin was shit way back pre-season, and you told me to "watch more football, sunshine"?

That was funny.

Saw that on the This Is Anfield forum alright. It's the Daily Mail so it's probably taken out of context for a sensationalist 'I'm a Ukranian - Get me out of here!' style article, but still it doesn't help his popularity. He's contracted with us til 2011.. on the evidence he's given this season who would have him? It'll be easier to shift Riise and the Aussie than the plumber.
