Great to see Maxi get a run out.
I think we may have finally turned a corner and this might actually be our year.

best performance i've seen in ages. grrrreat stuff, even maxi and insua played well. it's obvious, flaming obvious, that that works. 4-1 against portsmouth, 3-0 yesterday, no lucas to be seen. obvious, right? what odds that he'll change it back for the next 1-1 draw.
What I wouldn't give for Moysey to "only" have 37 million to spend.
Do what Rafa did then and sell 37 million worth of players.
if youse got 24 for lescott, then he's deffo worth that. That's okay we've good players.
Unless we can get 37 million for Joseph Yobo.
Any takers ?

I was gonna say the same thing, but they while we legitimately benefitted from the Real Madrid splurge, Everton got £25m (or something like that) for Joleon Lescott. Where did that money go? Lescott's absence had nothing to do with Everton's appaling start to the season.
confidence serum? you mean a new manager, right?
dunno, i think it had a lot to do with going out as 442, lucas off the pitch, and gerrard in the middle. there'sno way benny will keep that formation for the away games and we'll be back to square one. they can beat fucking anyone, if they're let.We don't need one if the players can just remember how good they actually are. It's funny how almost every report from the sunderland game mentioned rafa 'finally taking the shackles off' as if that's the reason we've been shite all season. The display on sunday has a lot more to do with a few players managing to pass to a team mate for a change, gerrard actually remembering how to play and the form of a certain no. 9.
