I must qualify that last post..I live in a 250 year old building with 15 foot ceilings on the main street of the town..circa 2000 square feet

Its far from a shit hole..although the heat costsa fucking bomb in the winter

But I also have A MASSIVE soundsystem..which is round the clock

I rent a decent sized place by myself in a small midlands town now too, for less than the price of a room in a house in Dublin. Trees, fields, cows all round the place, a lake out the front window. You wouldn't get that on minimum wage in Dublin. There are only three cafes in the town though, the pubs are either deserted or full of drunken boggers and I go from one end of the week to the other with minimal interaction with other humans, which suits me well enough I suppose.

mod_fcgid is causing 500 Internal Server errors every few minutes (and is probably to blame for the runaway server loads that are forcing reboots) and nothing i've tried has fixed it, so i've had to switch the php handler back to suphp, which is slower, and that's a pain.
