My sister always sends me gift cards for itunes or amazon. As nice as it is, I've explained before that I can't use them here. Well, I can with amazon but the shipping from the US takes up most of the gift card, so it's pointless. Now I just send them back in cards for my nephew. I suppose it get me out of paying for presents for him. Maybe she actually knows this and does it on purpose now? Maybe she's secretly making me be a better aunt?

I keep a little cup of plastic cutlery from the canteen by my desk for when I bring in breakfast.

I left the lids off my new calligraphy pens and they dried out. I didn't realise this would happen.
The stationary superstore was closed there at lunchtime.
