I had never seen those before moving here. I'm often confused by them too. I lived in a place where I could never properly lock the kitchen door that faced the garden. You had to pull up and turn a key but I could never do it. Just give me a standard key or a deadbolt please.

Had tests today in Mater but didn't have to fast. New part of Mater is really like an airport terminal and is badly signposted, got wrong directions from porter.

I hate when drivers wave me to go. I get they are trying to be nice but I'll decide when it's safe for me to cross. Not only that but it will be quicker for them to just go then for me to cross at my own pace. I don't want to run to get across the road. I always wave them back to keep going. People (drivers, bikers and walkers) just need to follow the damn lights.
