They head Yoko sing and took pity on him

well, if we’re going to be talking about music from decades ago anyway...

yoko = fantastic new wave singer, groundbreaking artist

condemned to be forever vilified by a bunch of dadrock boomers who can’t get their heads around it

i've heard plenty of good stuff by Yoko. prefer her to Beatles solo stuff.
I'm not a Beatles fan really. never owned their records.
I have about 3,000 records and don't think they Beatles records are near being in the top 3,000 records ever.
but they were good.

what was that no wave sounding Yoko track from the early 70's built around a driving drum loop by Ringo, with Yoko nearly screaming with a delay effect?

I spent most of the day yesterday listening to the Beatles. Their recordings have that "demo charm". Ramshackle, pure, excitement, creativity whatever you want to call it. This must come from writing in the studio, the album version IS the demo. (yes I know they did many takes).
Anyway it reminds me of listening to demo recordings (not comparing myself to the Beatles) where you'd have an idea and quickly do it not paying attention to the sound quality. Piano part you don't even remember doing ... they all add to a magic that is impossible to recreate.
Anyone who makes music knows what I'm trying to say....

completely forgot about GODZ - good call.
some of Yoko's best stuff is like rock fans being forced by Lennon to listen to RED CRAYOLA , FAUST or some other German or Japanese avant/psych bands and just not getting it.

Great Yoko track that...love it.

Surely a forerunner of this belter

I can dislike her singing without having to be a lover of dad rock or have kids.

15 years ago a woman I know's fiance got a parrot and blantantly insighted the bird to swear.
which it had no problem doing in his voice and it would also say ''Don't be swearing'' in her voice.
they now have three lovely kids. not sure what happened to the parrot.
EDIT:
after Cold Turkey finished on youtube, I got a load of recommendations for Turkish psychedelic rock, which I love.
algorithms are great
