Coveney's been borderline out since Leo defeated him, and then that kurfuffle with Zappone kicked whatever fight was left in him out onto the ground

He knows the score within the party. They have no further use for him. He's not gonna become some Alan Shatter type figure, hanging around forever. He'll be off to Europe, if he can get it.

you'd think coveney would popular enough within the electorate because of the way brexist was handled, but i've heard he's seend as standoffish and not very contactable by the party.
Tru enough
But people don't seem to care that Brexit was handled well or Covid was navigated okay
Even though those are big deals, there's no medals for it

People care about housing. And FG can't campaign on it.
The party itself wants a bruiser as it prepares to go up against the Shinners, and they have that in Harris.
The ordinary decent capable honourable type that Coveney represents doesn't have strong currecny right now, and might never again.
Again, something in Europe or on some boards or whatever. That's where his skills will be drawn to.

coveney gone now too?

"Asked if he intended to seek re-election at the next general election, Mr Coveney said that was not a question for this week. Late last month he said he would be running to retain his seat in Cork South Central."
It's almost as if his brother was in the middle of some big scandal involving a major media organisation or something

Well, he's hit the ground running

"Future increases to the number of sick days an employee can take could also be paused due to concerns about the extra costs this would impose on businesses. It had been planned that workers would be entitled to seven statutory sick leave days from next January, up from five. This was then supposed to increase to 10 days in 2026"

Yeah I'd assume all busses have rear cameras as standard.

Fun day in town . I had to get through 4 security checks to get into the office today, for all of the 5 protesters that are out there.
