Jaysus the amount of transfers Peter Casey is getting. You know there'll always be a fringe of people who rally behind this sort of guy but loads of others seem to not mind him at all either.

my mother gave him one because she thought he might be taking enough cocaine to be useful.

The EV this is a chain. Like, to me a "new car" is 2012. I see my next car as being EV or Hybrid at least, probably a second hand 2016 bought in 2021. The manufacturers are getting on board, most of them do EVs now. We just have to wait for the rich people to buy them first. Not ideal.

Don't think that's true at all. Been following the EV threads on boards out of mild temptation, and they're all having great success with second hand EV's. At worst people say the battery degradation is down to 90% after 4 or 5 years

The only problem comes if the battery dies and needs replacing, which can be at least 4k, but seemingly it's incredibly rare to happen.

Would definitely happen to me

It’s a 2015 24kwh Leaf. It’s the sensible brown shoes of the road.
Interesting. I’d be looking for something twice the capacity. I think the new ones are 60kwh but would be waiting a while for any salvage auctions for the innards.

What’s the range on a fully charged second hand 24kwh Nissan Leaf?

I get 130-140 km but I do 70+ a day and charge every night
