Favourite holidays (1 Viewer)

last June Iceland, stayed in Reykjavik for a few days, then drove towards Hekla... glaciers, waterfalls, boiling water spurting out of the ground, what's not to love.

or years ago, three of us to prague and then on the train to Krakow, got robbed, back to prague. Great fun loads of memories.

a week in the south of spain, staying in the mountains with relatives, a few years ago - second cousin is a walking tour guide, his partner is an artist and gives classes in painting and pottery, so plenty to do.
this place is owned by another cousin - wasn't finished when i was there, but still looked amazing.

it's refreshingly cheap.

i think my favourite holiday was a walking and rough camping (no campsites) holiday with herself along the “canal du midi” in the south of France and over Pyrenees that ended up at the primavera festival in Barcelona with loads of mates from Dublin.

the reason I asked the question is because most people say their favourite holidays are the most simple ones not the most expensive and exotic..
