I have said for a long time for that the extremely wealthy and powerful* need to feel some fear. They have been far too safe for far too long.

In my work I used to have occasional interactions with this pretty smart dude..
Once had a chat with him about the legal strategies the insurers use (he was writing an article on it at the time) - basically they prioritize legal action against the small fish, who are unlikely to have the means to afford to fight it. a completely predatory industry..
looks like that story featured in the NBC report predates the shooting, btw.
