As if '17th Precinct' didn't sound wonderful enough already, today comes news that yet another 'Battlestar Galactica' veteran has booked a role in the NBC pilot.

James Callis, otherwise known as 'BSG' scientist Gaius Baltar, will work alongside former costar Jamie Bamber in the series, Deadline reports.

The series, headed by 'BSG' mastermind Ron Moore, follows cops in a world where magic is real -- think 'Harry Potter' meets 'Law & Order.'
