Excellent record - great brass arrangements. Probably my album of 2015 (probably cos it's the only bloody album from 2015 I can think of).

Pulled out a load of 12 inches on 45 as it’s a whole ordeal to switch my turntable to 45. Currently listening to the Golden Horde’s In Reality mini LP which is surprising not completely terrible (just mostly terrible).

tUMULt records day here:
guapo - great sage, equal of heaven
reeks & the wrecks - knife hits
professor - academizer e.p.
iran - the moon boys
thuja - the deer lay down their bones
circle - andexelt
v/a - painted black
v/a - a selection of drones past: singles 1993-2000

not sure there's a more (small c) catholic label in my collection.

Todays update:

The Tunnel at the End of the Rainbow by Jason Lescalleet.
Nice mellow electronic/experimental/drone stuff, not totally necessary.

Winterist by Jeph Jerman.
My experience is that all of his albums sound like a guy rummaging around in an box in his shed, if you like that sort of thing.

Is This The Life We Really Want? by Roger Waters
A bit patchy but it has some really great songs. I think of it as his 'The Intercept' album. He has written a radio play about a child and his grandfather sitting at home in Belfast watching Jeremy Scahill's documentary Dirty Wars. The child asks the grandfather "why are they killing the children?" and they take it from there. At one point he used to talk about that as the concept for his next album before that album became this.

Sound Dust by Stereolab
Possibly their best album, I'm not sure.

Kings Mouth by The Flaming Lips
Silly fairytale concept album but I like it a lot. Sweet songs, excellent subtle synth stuff going on.

Restless Faithful Desperate by Loren Mazzacane Connors & Kath Bloom
Sparse acoustic folky/blues stuff with beautiful crooning from Kath and odd tuneless blues bending from Loren. An old favorite.

Loads of records, and a lot of
