What gig(s) are you going to this week? (4 Viewers)

Remember when to get to the venue in the Grand Social you had to walk through to the back of the ground floor, and out a spooky concreet corridor and around a corner to get to the stairs. That was cool.
then upstairs, through clouds of smoke in the smoking area, through a door, passing a victorian era toilet, into a room with a big linen sheet draped across the ceiling.

is it not like that anymore?

You just go up the stairs beside the jacks now. Toats normie.

Most of this.

Ropey start tbh right now. But there's some talent there. Good band names if nothing else. Mad I can see all this shit, for the price of a pint or two. And just down the road from me. Reading/Leeds is not for me.

what's this? don't think I know any of the bands.

Local festival, centered around my local pub. You might actually know one or two of the bands, maybe with a different name or something. I'm sure someone here mentioned Bucha Effect before, for example.
It's been going on for years and this might well be the last one, because PROGRESS. I got a bit over excited last night. But that band was a really good surprise and I haven't felt like that at a gig in a while.

Very often small all day gigs like this are more interesting than bigger gigs. Usually you can't go too far wrong with these events.
Will look up Bucha Effect...

I've seen a lot of these people before, so some of it is just a familiarity trip. But I do want to make time for Ostrich Algorithm, for the name if nothing else. I have no idea what they are.
