The internet speculates that it's "slenderizing"
Donald Trump's 'slenderizing' fashion trick? Long ties
The president encouraged Chris Christie to wear a long tie to appear thinner, the former governor wrote in his bookwww.theguardian.com
God, remember the day he had a different haircut for 24 hours
it's true!
This is my problem with these dicks, all the kit and don't know shit. That's not the best way to quickly cable-tie people. He's lost the use of his arm because it's full of cable ties. Ziptie a bunch to a belt loop like the rest of us, dumbass. And why is he trying to jump onto folding seats? And what are all those pockets actually for?
Couple of other observations on that though - iphone mounted facing forward to record whatever he was planning on getting up to. Blue Lives Matter patch on his chest. Oh and a gun on his hip.
Seems legit.
I’ve finally stopped being surprised or amazed at the the stretch of imagination they go to just to avoid reality. No straw is too thin or far away to clutch at
My theory is this is just what happens when Trump loses his platform, once Trump gets a TV show on NewsMax or a new twitter account or whatever they'll be right back on his side.
Would you be of the opinion that any die-hard Republicans have actually confronted these unpleasant truths? There was always a group of never-Trumpers...I've been saying something along these lines unironically for a long time. Although, he's not a plant obviously.
But yeah, he's done more damage to the GOP than probably anyone ever. He's forced the US to confront the fact that it's a racist police state, policed by white supremacists. He's exposed the GOP as the authoritarian idiot party, you can't hide behind a nice memory of Reagan (which is rampant). He's underlined the degree to which elected reps will debase themselves (eg telling Cruz his wife was ugly and his father was a mass murderer etc), he's pushed the white supremacist movement into the FBIs eyes, found and out demonstrated all the fucked up little corners of the US gov (eg pardons). The absurd level of science denialism. The list just goes on.
By behaving like a fairly benign* bad actor he's forced some people in the US to confront lots of unpleasant truths about itself.
Most importantly he's taken away the ability for people to pull a surprised pikachu face when the next GOP right wing extremist comes along and does whatever he/she does, because Trump will have highlighted that issue years before, and everyone chose to ignore it.

This is it.Many of the never Trumpers agreed with his policies, they just found him distasteful.
