The Techno Thread (1 Viewer)

hadn't heard of that hypnotic breaks site, but there's tons of great
stuff up there. annoyingly links to most of it are down though, including
the klock album.

tend to agree with you about techno when it comes to albums. there's
only a handful of labels i'd trust to put out decent ones, ostgut is
definitely among them.

is that Hi Tech Soul video / movie any good ? heard mixed reports . would like to show it some saturday night in Pogo if its any use

hypnotic breaks is a good site but hit and miss . plus downloading off rapidshare is a headfuck and setting up a premuim account even more so

I watched it, it's fairly interesting. Worth a watch. I am amazed at how childish and bitchy most of them seem to be towards each other though. Bit dissapointing. Expected techno innovators to be a bit more manly for some reason.

I didn't think too highly of it. It covers well trodden territory to the initiated. It might be interesting to newcomers, but as with any music there's only so much you can discuss, read about or watch before it becomes useless. IMO, you can learn a lot more from listening to something like this;

Can someone tell me what this brilliant track is called... or how I get it? I stumbled upon that video on some cool blog. Its fucking brilliant, as is their dancing throughout.

No info on the myspace but check out "I'm from detroit" pretty wild

Can't access myspace in work but they played Traffic about 5 years ago. I remember nothing from the night (vague recollection of fun notwithstanding) apart from the fact that they finished with I'm From Detroit. Never heard any of their records.
