The Fall (1 Viewer)

I'd go with:

Closely followed by slates. The best of from last year would probably be a good place to start though. Also I'm pretty sure nnlllggbbbtbtbtthhhhh will be able to list the best ones, as he does so well.

OK, I'm late on the train here but whats the best Fall album to get???

'Psychic dance-hall' 3-cd compilation on Castle Communications is a super-cheap way to get loads of the early goodies - essential gear
It's got stuff from
Live at the witch trials / Slates / Dragnet / Hex enduction hour and loads of the early singles.

As regds the albums tho' --- too tough, so much amazing stuff.
Grotesque (after the gramme) is a personal fave.

You think? I really liked the last song they played!

I love the fall but I thought they were awful when they played crawdaddy last year.

they were all over the place, just didnt seem to give a fuck at all. mark e smith was just mumbling and ranting into the mic, seemingly off his tits... awful really.

and those awful awful robert plant songs too... seriously, what is it with rock n roll dinosaurs and naff "eastern" inspired music?

I thought they were great. I'm not a huge fan now but they were really rockin' ... easily the best thing on the show.

like yer psychotic big brother who left home for jobs in holland, munich, rome
he's thick but he struck it rich
switch!

it's a gay red, roundhead, army career, grim head
if we were smart we would emigrate

I'd go with what Neil suggested. This Nation's Saving Grace has the whole shebang.
I like Code:Selfish too.

when the levee breaks was pretty cool though. And wasn't that the drummer from Portishead in his backing band?
