The 'bands *i* get but no-one else does' thread (1 Viewer)

I love Crowded House, I only know one other person who likes them

The first introduction I had was this video on MTV. I loved it. Still do. Nothing wrong with the Finn Brothers.

This is easy, let's just start with my fav bands then: Marillion, King's X
I could go on.
Judee Sill is absolutely barred in our house unless I'm the only one who can hear it.

Couldn't let that one go!

What I get is that Warner Bros era Husker Du is way better than SST era, Warehouse is their best album, and Grant Hart is way better solo than Bob Mould solo even though Bob Mould was generally the better songwriter in Husker Du.

I was all set to say I didn't like that song but I watched anyway and it's decent enough alright. Amusing video. My other favorite songs of theirs would be World Where You Live, When You Come, How Will You Go, Kare Kare and many others. My very favorite though is Twice If You're Lucky off their most recent album. It has such an important message

So you don't recommend anything beyond Soul Mining and Infected then?

Cool
Well, Mindbomb is pretty pompous and overblown, but there are some great songs on it, and Johnny Marr plays some amazing guitar.
Dusk also has some gold on it, but its a bit ordinary and safe sounding.
Can't vouch for anything after that, never really grabbed me.

Best Mindbomb song, bit saucy!
