Phantom Fm Twat Radio (1 Viewer)

that kiosk one just asked Jason Pierce about what level of drug user hes at.
as in if hes a casual user or complete addict, basing this on his lyric ' Hey man there's a hole in my arm where all the money goes'

he declined to answer...she said ' i was just chancing my arm like'

Lets base a question on a 12 year old lyric, nice one.

Judging by the last few times I've seen him, he's well off the smack.

No offence but for me that statement pretty much sums up everything that is wrong with radio. Also I dont know who Thumped folks are
According to Pete's sig, the jimmy cake are the sum total of thumped folks.

Sinead Ni Mhordha show axed

Heard it the other day that the other shows are going to be extended instead, her show didn't have enough listeners apparently and they are cutting out a wage also in sacking her.
This follows the recent sacking of sinister Pete for not making enough cash for the station. I think it was a good show for all things around Dublin. Hate yer woman Doherty and her shitey 90s nostalgia- there's other women around than fuckin Florernce and PJ harvey like

Ah balls that's crap. I thought her show was one of the best.

Most of the daytime djs on there are pretty woeful.

the worst of all is if you have the misfortune to catch the 'best of phantom' at the weekend. Who wants to listen to midweek, daytime talk radio snippets at 7am on a saturday morning?

Sorry to hear that about Sinead NiMhordha.

Is sinister Pete not one of the head honchos in there? I hated him on the morning show but like him well enough on that random access show

Phantom is one of the worst stations I have ever heard...and I grew up in Arkansas.

And I really really wonder why they seem to be constantly playing ACDC.

Talk about payola in action.

Newstalk is much better if only for it's lack of ACDC.

Though I think that cock Michael Graham should literally be set on fire.

The best most fun station is DublinCity...it's like going back in time 20 years. Their gear breaks live on air they play jazz followed by bizarre oldies followed by wrestling shows.

:)

really though Dublin radio is mostly unlistenable.

Shame really.

Whaaat. That's crap! Poor Sinead :(

so, wait...does that mean Dublin doesn't actually have an Independent Radio station? Like, obviously, the dogs on the street know that Phantom is just another commercial adspace-flogging piece of hackneyed garbage, but surely there's an alternative?

...not meaning to be overtly dramatic about it. I just think the term "Indie" should mean something more than one particular section of Topshop. I mean, Phantom originally worked it's way to the position it now enjoys by representing a portion of Dublin's listenership. Now that it represents nothing more than it's market value, those listeners must be tuning in elsewhere? I switched from FM104 to Phantom in the car last week, and heard not only the same band (K**gs of L**n) but the same song.

Where does actual Independent music get heard in Dublin? Myspace. Foggy Notions. Skinny Wolves. U:mack. Not Fucking Phantom. If you want to hear Independent music in this city, you've got to go out and find it. Just please don't turn on the fucking radio. Unless you want to enter a fantastic competion to win a blah blah blah...
