What exactly is wrong with it?

is it in warranty?if not,probably not worth it.They're very fucking disposable

i was using one for the first time in years at the weekend - was tryin to wipe a disc so it could be recorded over and after 5 minutes of fruitlessness i sez to me mate who owns it - "i can'd find the edit function", to which he replied "ah yeah its a bit fucked, that's one of the things you can't do on it!".
no wonder they never "caught on"
