Hey it was a good episode, it's a bit incredble even by Lost standards, that they had to achieve going back to the island in that way. Given that the others can come and go as they please by their own means, whatever they are. Fair enough the others get to the island that way but they can't come back by hailing down a commercial fllght innit?

I have a feeling the plane didn't actually crash and they actually hit a flash over the island. The two new characters (the guy who sympathized with Jack and the cop escorting Sayiid) play a big part in the rest of the series too.

i'm leaning towards neither of them being 'good' and that being the
good guy isn't really that important in their power strugglee for the
old island. they're both clearly lying to everyone to meet their ends.
dunno where eloise fits into that though.

as for the show being 'dumbed down' - are you watching season 2
or something? is kate's horse or the hurley bird really more of a
trip than the time line / time travel shit?

i'm guessing hurley / jack / kate have ended up in a different time
to locke / new survivors, what with jin wearing that old uniform
and driving the van. then maybe he hasn't cos we haven't seen
too much of the time they're currently in, only seeing the boats
during a flash briefly before for a few minutes at night. i don't
think / remember if there was any indication of what time that was
in.
