The management of the International Bar has recently decided that they'll sell more booze on Sunday nights if they replace Lazybird with a comedy club, starting immediately. So as of right now, we're no longer putting on any gigs in the International.
Unfortunately, this also means that we're not putting on any gigs at all until we find a new nest. Apologies to all the acts we'd booked and all the punters who were planning on coming to see them. However, we're already looking for a new venue, and hopefully we'll find one soon and get back into action.
If anyone has any suggestions as to a venue which might suit Lazybird, please feel free to contact us at [email protected].
Thanks,
~lazybird~
P.S. Considering that the name of the club came from a song of her husband's, it seems appropriate for us to bid a sad farewell to Alice Coltrane. Journey to Satchidananda was a between-act staple during our nights in the International. RIP.
P.P.S. We'll be continuing our webcast every Sunday from 6pm 'til 7:30pm at http://www.powerfm.org, so don't think you've escaped our music clutches just yet...
