I really miss Richard Whitely very much - Countdown just isn't the same.
But on a lighter note, my favourite cereal at the moment is Wheeto's - really nice shit!!!
what's yours?

I eat cereal about twice a year. Usually Crunchy Nut Cornflakes, although I did like Special K Red Berries when I had it a while back.

when I worked in the L&N supermarket (1987 - 1988) the top 3 sellers were

1 Corn Flakes
2 Rice Krispies
3 Frosties

the most unpopular
Nutri Grain
Bran Buds

- we'd shift maybe one box of those a week. They'd frequently go out of date on the shelves.

I was there for the launch of Kellogg's Toppas. Exciting times.

i like crunchy nut cornflakes, regular cornflakes, weetabix, sugar puffs, all those sweet ones kids eat but for breakfast the only thing that will keep hunger at bay for longer than half an hour is porridge so i have a large bowl of that every morning. dont need to eat again then for 2 to 2.5 hours.

were poptarts any use? i never tried them, they always looked manky in the ads.

I like fancy muesli. The more berries and seeds, and the fewer nuts it contains, the better.

I ued to love special k when it was tiny little flakes - the way it is now is nice too but I used to love the baby flakes. they were like tiny breakfast gnochi.

Also can I just say - It was a complete travesty thet Giles Brandereth didnt get Countdown after Richard died.

He is the only one corny enough to do the jobright.
