So I have a 250GB Maxtor USB 2 external hard drive that has been working grand on Windows XP for half a year...just use it for backing up stuff...music, movies, photos.
I just got a Macbook Pro (intel), all set up...plugged the HD in, and...nada...it doesn't mount at all. But if I plug in my little 1GB memory stick into the macbook (or PC), it works fine and is recognised as a drive.
Do I have to reformat my Maxtor to work with OsX?
Hope not as I don't want to lose all my stuff.
Maybe I can I partition my Maxtor, and have one half of it Mac-friendly?
Right now all I want to do is move stuff onto the Mac internal HD...as you may have gathered I'm a mac-retard...
...but willing to learn!
