There was some great bands from Denmark from the late 1970's onwards: Sods, Electric Deads, Razor Blades, Enola Gay, War Of Destruction, Artillery, Merciful Fate etc. but from about 1987 there seemed to nothing until the late 1990's.
Denmark was a black hole surrounded by countries with thriving scenes. I can't tell you a single new band from Denmark from that era. Weird - I heard Danes say the same thing but I have no idea why that happened? In 21st century Denmark has become renowned for it's bands.
