We recently got two kittens. I like them, but kind of hate them.
I hate that my jeans now have claw marks in them and that they pester for food 24/7.
We put carpet in this gaff when we bought it 18 years ago and the day before we got the kittens that fucking carpet was as good condition as day 1. Not now. The pricks.

While a scratching post would keep Anthony distracted for a while, I think it's more important to deal with the cats behaviour.

my limited experience of cats is that they will reject all attempts to provide amenities for them, except regular provision of food.
