Tindersticks - Here
Subsonic Legacy - Black Steel

I thought of loads the other day and I've forgetten them all now, bollocks.

Tricky's cover of Black Steel is kickass.

Also, Hendrix's version of All Along The Watchtower.
Coltrane doing Favourite Things.
Sid Vicious doing My Way... I got this on 7" at a school fair when I was a wee one .|..|

I too had thought of lots more yesterday but have now forgot em

it's great, but definately my least favorite track on maxinquaye (which is such a stunning album).
tricky did an amazing but relalitively unknown track called "Anti Histamine" which is a very heavy and dark version on blondie's "Heart of Glass", intense psychotic stuff.

He also did an utterly bizarre, but strangely brilliant, cover of M's "Pop Muzik" on the For Real EP.

The guy obviously loved 1979.

oh yeah, that also had a b side called "Bombing Bastards" which was better than the whole of that Juxtapose album. such a shame, he went downhill with every album.

The Best Cover Version in History is Killdozer doing 'I am, I said' by Neil Diamond. Play it loud, wear just a dressing gown, sing along and tell me I'm wrong.

so did anyone go see killdozer in the baggot? about 11 years ago?
awesome gig.. might even have been the last ever killdozer show..

knockin on heavens door by television is pretty awesome

cat power-'i found a reason'

cap'n jazz-'take on me'
iron and wine-'waiting for superman' and 'peng'
mark kozelek-'dramamine'(from the whelans show coupla weeks ago)

best cover version

theres too much negativity on thumped;

The Dead Kenedys-Viva Las Vegas
Jimi hendrix-all along the watch tower
ray Charles- elenor rigby
Roberta Flack- angelitos negros
The Bastard Sons of Borris Karloff-Folsom Prison blues
Johnny Cash-I see a darkness

and loads more that my spongiform brain cant think of
