Got delivered on saturday - 20ish hp kubota
did 4-5 hours with it on sunday dragging logs around the place. I did drive similar stuff as a teen (and pre-teen because rural) so it was sorta 20 mins of remembering stuff. To a large degree i was experimenting/learning on sunday with seeing how big a log it can drag which is around maybe 400kg.
the tractor theoretically could pull 800kg area but i've a chain thats limited to about 500 because i'd rather replace a chain than a transmission.
So far it's mostly got the chainsaw sitting behind the seat. cut/drag/cut/drag.
Transport box is arriving in about ten days which will open up a few other applications - like it can fit the chainsaw, but not the chainsaw tool bag at the same time -
i managed to see saw it on a tree stump at one point which wasn't wildly stress inducing at all as some of the hydraulic solid lines are the undercarriage. lifted it with a combination of axel stands and bottle/car jacks and then kicked it off the stump. good times. I've a shed for it about 60% built- just had to jump to other jobs a bit. Gonna put some work lights up on the roll bar around the end of august to add a few hours into the winter evenings.

google maps has updated the carnage too in satellite view. Those are all ten metre trees.
working south to north for the meantime.

two winged bowls of differing styles this evening. the first is wych elm; the inside of the bowl was hit with a gas torch a couple of times. the second is ash.
both are entirely useless.

Tractors and chainsaws.
anywhoo i noticed it was really heating on the temp guage - checked the radiator, bone dry. went and got coolant and started to fill. turned out the drain valve for the system got smashed (could have been me) and the cooling system was non existent.
mcguyvered the pipes together by robbing parts from the garden hose.
It's cooling again now and lots of trees got dragged around.
It's self cooling perfectly - two hours heaving half ton logs around this morning and it didn't flinch. home improvement/gardening/motoring and minor pleasures crossover here.
