The Right Hook is one of the worst things on radio. Hook is an incoherent, bumbling old fool. He clearly thinks that the sections with Michael Graham are big left vs right head-to-heads, but Graham makes a fool of Hook, there is no contest. It's ridiculous. Hook isn't even the liberal he thinks he is, never mind the arguer he thinks he is.
And then they bring Ivan Yates in, dear God...

These are pretty much my thoughts on Hook, but I'm usually overcome by rage before I can express them.
His support for McCain in the US election was the mega-clincher if ever one was needed.

he didn't support mccain though, he just kept saying that he
thought he was gonna win and that he would vote democrat
if he was in a position to vote. the stuff from limerick this
week has been nearly unlistenable

but i agree that he is tiresome. i prefer when they have
kevin meyers filling in. ivan yates was nearly in tears when
they brought in that bookie tax in the budget. arf.
