Problem is there's billions of Wordpress articles out there - I'm looking for stuff that people have found useful themselves.

What I found useful was having a job to do. Then trying to work out how to do it. I bought a magazine called "Wordpress for beginners" and just read the first chapter which explained the UI. I found that a great help. The rest was trial and error.

That's the thing - I don't really have time for trial and error. I have a certain amount of what I hope are ummm "transferrable skills" from working with Joomla over the years so I don't want to start from scratch... If that makes any sense.
