Who is the worst band ever? (1 Viewer)

Probably showing my age here but anyone remember No Sweat?

A Joe Elliot-sponsored spandex & hair fest from these very shores.
I saw them play McGonigles once supporting God knows who.

A bad idea poorly executed.

gedalittlebitaheardandsoul?

that one?

the video where they were on the back of that truck driving up a runway?

they were deadly. Ok, maybe not deadly.

What about Jump the Gun? They were class. Can't believe they didn't win the eurovision that time.

Just terrible

reminds me of many of gigs i played

They ran out onto an empty McGonigles stage like they were at Live Aid or Slane - "Hello, Dublin!"
It was the most cringworthy show I've ever seen - And I was at U2 in 2006

And yes, I remember the video.
Not even Barry Lang liked them, and that cunt loved everything.

I'm having my very first ever listen to the jesus and mary chain right now (Psychocandy). Very underwhelming altogether, boring and shit even... and this is their best effort? Sounds like mazzy star without the tunes.

It was a good few years before Mazzy Star, that's a bit of an unfair comparison. Can't imagine what it would be like hearing it for the first time now, but when I first heard it, it was The Album That Changed My Life. Some people prerfer the later stuff when they could actually play their instruments and write songs longer than 2 minutes.

Speaking of which, and of Mazzy Star, a better place to start might have been Sometimes Always, featuring Hope Sandoval. Who was knockin' boots with one of the Reids at the time, William I think?

this thread is getting troublesome now. the proclaimers are cool. the first album is deadly, the rest are over produced with bad session musos but the songs are still often top notch

I hated the Proclaimers when I was a teenager (they were the anti-Mary Chain - brothers from Scotland called Reid, but no leather trousers and not a single Velvet Underground record between them), but the older I get the more I like them.
