This was disappointing. Lacking in decent jokes. Watching it I was actually unsure if it was supposed to be a comedy or if the jokes were going over my head or just simply not there. Unfortunately, I think it was the latter.

The Company of Wolves. I hadn't seen this a long time. Beautiful looking film, very athmospheric.

and American Sniper which is one of the worst films I have seen in a long time.

I thought it was really well done.

I watched Testament of Youth which is apparently a very well known story based on an epochal book but I had never heard of any of it, whoops...

Probably a little too clothes and books porn to be taken as seriously as it wants to be but I thought it was really good and touched on a lot of issues without getting too ham-fisted about them all.

Went to see Whiplash, and really enjoyed it. JK Simmons is brilliant as the sadistic teacher. The whole "Full metal jacket in Julliard" tag is spot-on.

It's great how much of a total dickhead the character is. He definitely watched a bit of Full Metal Jacket before doing that part!!
