Waht a dude

Finished off the Back To The Future films yesterday with my boys. It took a lot to get them to decide to watch such an old film but I've never seen them so excited by the time we got to Part 3. We had edge of the seat moments, jumping up and down, shouting at the screen, tears.. the lot. Brilliant.
Made their collection of kids dvds look like shite.

"Everybody want go heaven but nobody want dead." Should be more Jamaican bad guys in films.

If you're going to kill Lee Marvin, do it properly.

Virtually perfect cinema. Can't recommend it enough.

There was a far better film then Schindler's list on Sky the other night, The Counterfeiters,
Foreign subtitled film and the type of colour and the way the film was directed really made you feel the time and surroundings.
Slight Camera movement and as per usual with foreign films of this nature was superbly acted.
Was about a normal pre-war Jewish forger who is arrested in 1936 and sent to a concentration camp where he is quickly spotted as a superb artist, eventually he is sent to a specialist part of a different concentration camp to work with other selected specialist prisoners and their task is to forge 1st the English Pound and then the Dollar.
They do the Pound but when it comes to the Dollar one of the prisoners delib starts fking up because as it says it will prelong the war and the suffering of the Jews.
It leads to acrimony and bitterness between him and a few of his work mates as if they don't do the Dollar they will be gassed.
Also touched on is the way their camp is segregated from the rest of the camp and they have proper food and bedding and a degree of normal treatment at the hands of the SS guards, some feel guilty for their fellow prisoners who are just the other side of the fence/wall and at times in the film you hear some of the brutality coming from the other side.
I just loved the original angle on this type of film.
Posted on a diff forum lastw eek, totally engrossing film.

Outstanding. Sustained overacting for the entire film, even by Nicolas Cage's standards. This is the shit.
