Saw that yesterday. It is pathetic that chicken farmers are struggling. It's not like people have stopped eating, it's not like they're Mercedes Benz dealers going out of business. The stuff they're producing IS selling. Cop on shoppers.

we've reached a point where (as i imagine it) farmers trying to fix the price of milk at a price which won't leave them in penury is met with competition authority raids.
why aren't the competition authority investigating the big supermarkets over abuse of a dominant position?

There's a field at the back of the mammy-in-laws that's full of these 3 & 4 foot high nettle type things.

Its a bit overkill on garlic, but i'm not sure if thats because of the recipe, or is it because my garlic is out of my back yard. Also i noticed with the nettles, they have a wee cycle going on, the bigger leaves die off and smaller ones come out of the middle - best getting ones that have bigger new leaves, i ended up throwing a lot of big ones because they were dying at the tips. I just walked into the wood beside here with gloves and scissors and a bag. I didnt have pine nuts actually. other than the garlic its cool anyways.
