But really .... just not being Trump is more than enough for me right now.

If Biden undid this (and didn't start sending troops abroad again), then that's good enough for me- pulling out of international agreements such as the Paris accord
No I mean, an ask to the nominee - "Will you defeat the other guy?"“Answer” I think you mean?
I suppose my criticism is that all that is being offered there is a return to 2015, i.e. the situation that led to Trump being elected and climate catastrophe as we know it. I wouldn't vote for that myself, i'd demand more. From Biden. Not from Sanders, from Biden. No, you’re right - it’s not a very good answer. But when you look back over the last four years and think about some of the things that Trump did:
- biggest programme of tax cuts for the rich in US history
- constant stoking of racial tension, civil unrest and tacit support for white supremacy
- pulling out of international agreements such as the Paris accord
- moving US embassy to Jerusalem and generally letting Netanyahu do whatever the hell he wants
etc etc ...
Stuff that is “not as bad as that” is fine by me. I would have preferred Sanders too (though I genuinely don’t know if he would have won)
I'd probably vote for Biden but tell everyone I was voting for a third party. So if you were in the US would you vote for Biden or Trump?
i had to do a double take on that.the Senate might not be necessarily lost to the Democrats
i wonder - especially if the dems don't get the senate - how much argy bargy there will be internally along the lines of 'well, we'd have done better had we had bernie leading the charge' vs. 'aren't we glad now we didn't run bernie cos we barely just scraped it with biden as was'Stuff that is “not as bad as that” is fine by me. LOL just saw some lad vox popilied on France 24 there "I disagree with the mail-in ballots. I agree with the absentee ballots, but I disagree with the mail-in ones" and I'm sitting there like "How the fuck do the absentee ballots get in if they're not sent in the mail??"
Come up with an excuse to declare war on IranWhat do you think Biden will do if the Democrats hold all three houses @hugh ?
All the progressive candidates (ie "the Squad") did really well, better than before; fifteen dollar minimum wage was passed in Florida by a supermajority; drugs legalised all over the place... those Fox News exit interviews...i wonder - especially if the dems don't get the senate - how much argy bargy there will be internally along the lines of 'well, we'd have done better had we had bernie leading the charge' vs. 'aren't we glad now we didn't run bernie cos we barely just scraped it with biden as was'
from what little i understand, simply down to margins. FLA was won by 600 votes in the end, and down to a hair splittingly technical issue. it may be that biden wins enough states that one state on its own may not be enough to make a difference. Also, I was asking someone about Gore/Bush in Florida '00. What exactly is different here?
AOC just passes the age requirement three weeks before the next election. All the progressive candidates (ie "the Squad") did really well
